Proper care ensures longevity, softness, and a consistently polished result.


Hair extensions are a luxury product. Their lifespan and appearance depend on maintenance, lifestyle, and product choices.

 

 

 

WASHING & CLEANSING

 

 

  • Wash hair according to your scalp needs and lifestyle

  • Always detangle hair before washing

  • Cleanse gently, allowing shampoo to flow through the lengths

  • Focus conditioner on mid-lengths and ends

  • Rinse thoroughly

 


There is no universal wash schedule — frequency varies between individuals.

 

 

 

BRUSHING & DAILY MAINTENANCE

 

 

  • Use a hair extension–friendly brush

  • Brush gently, starting from the ends and working upwards

  • Avoid aggressive brushing or pulling, especially when hair is wet

  • Keep hair secured during activity and before sleeping

 


Correct brushing helps prevent unnecessary shedding and tangling.

 

 

 

PRODUCTS & MOISTURE

 


Recommended:

 

  • Leave-in conditioners

  • Moisturising products

  • Lightweight serums and oils (used sparingly)

 


Avoid:

 

  • Deep cleansing / clarifying shampoos

  • Protein-heavy products

  • Bond-building treatments (e.g. K18 or similar)

  • Purple shampoo may be used when needed, but should not be overused

  • Always follow purple shampoo with adequate moisture

 


NYB Bundles hair does not require protein or bond repair products. Excess protein can cause dryness and stiffness.

 

 

 

HEAT & STYLING

 

 

  • Heat styling is allowed

  • Always use heat protection

  • Avoid repeated high-heat styling

  • Allow hair to cool before brushing after styling

  • Maximum heat temperature: 180°C

 


Moderation preserves quality.

 

 

 

NIGHT CARE

 

 

  • We strongly recommend sleeping with a bonnet

  • Alternatively, secure hair in a loose braid or ponytail before bed

 


Night-time protection reduces friction, tangling, and dryness.

 

 

 

COLOURING & CHEMICAL SERVICES

 

 

  • Colouring and chemical services should be carried out by a professional

  • Improper processing can permanently damage the hair

  • Once chemically altered, the hair is no longer in its original condition

  • Some shedding is normal with all hair extensions

  • Excessive shedding or tangling is most often linked to maintenance habits or product use
